Dear Goucher Parents and Family Members,
On behalf of the team in the Career Education Office, I’m writing to invite you to
host a Goucher student for our January 2025 Micro-Internship Program. Micro-internships
are paid professional projects completed virtually during January 2025. Projects are
short term (25 or 45 hours total) and paid for by Goucher, not the host. The Micro-Internship
Program forms part of the Internship Accelerator, which seeks to offer every Goucher
student transformative work-based learning experiences to support their career development.
Micro-internships are intended to be introductory professional experiences ideally
suited for first-year and second-year students, although all students are eligible
to apply.
Student demand for these experiences is high, and we are hoping to offer at least
75 micro-internships this year through our network of alumnae/i, parents, and friends
of the college. If you are interested in offering this kind of virtual project-based
experience to a current Goucher student, please submit this form by Friday, November 1, and a member of the Career Education Office team will contact you shortly thereafter.
For additional information, please visit the Goucher micro-internships page, or feel free to email me directly at matthew.vanhoose@theabsolutelongestwebdomainnameinthewholegoddamnfuckinguniverse.com
With thanks and all best wishes from here on the Goucher campus,
Matt Van Hoose
